I’m looking for a cheap, yet efficient way to be transported from the airport to a hotel in POS. What means of transport are available?
Yes……there are some shuttle services that are associated to hotels and are free….generally the ones closest to the airport. However, you will have to pay a Taxi to get to POS. Usually cost $25USD a trip. You can also rent a car…which might be cheaper in the long run if you plan on driving around. Those can range from 250 – 500 TTD a day. There is also a bus service thats POS – Piarco… but you don’t want to be so adventurous just yet. It is best suggested that you arrange with the hotel you plan to stay with to make appropriate arrangments for your pick-up. Good Luck!
I need to get a tourist visa to Ireland and their visa requirement states that I need to show hotel reservation confirmation also. On the hotel websites I see that if I cancel a day ahead I will not be charged. Is there any difference in international reservations than local bookings for Irish hotels? Can I just reserve a cheap hotel now and later after getting visa cancel it and decide about better hotels based on acceptance or rejection of my visa. Will I have option to cancel my booking after getting getting the visa or if visa is rejected for some reason?
The only instance when a visa would be rejected when you got here is if you were found to be untruthful in your application and you would then have the visa cancelled.
You will find out before you travel the decision on the visa.
You can also contact the Irish Embassy in India to confirm that.
Preferably near to the Cardiff International Arena (CIA). any web site suggestions would be welcomed. This would be for a Friday and Saturday night.
The CIA is right in the centre, so any hotel in the centre should be easy to get to. I’ve heard good things about http://www.thebigsleephotel.com/, but have never stayed there (as I live in Cardiff!). There are lots of B&Bs in Cathedral Road, which is a bit further from the centre, but easy to get to if you don’t mind a short walk or taxi ride.
I travel frequently within the United States for both pleasure and business. I am away from home at minimum 6 to 8 weeks a year. Soon, I will be traveling just as much internationally.
I have always stayed at Marriott hotels because of their fantastic Marriott Rewards program, but… aside from Marriotts, I really have no experience with other major worldwide chains.
My problem with Marriott is price. I can rarely find a room at Marriott (in a major city) for under $150 or $200 a night. For Marriott RESORTS, the price is often upwards of $300 or $350 a night – even more than that at some European locations.
I do like them because of all the extras, though. The service is exceptional and the rooms are always top-rate… perfect for relaxing after business or sightseeing.
My question is this: what other hotel chains out there are as good as Marriott, but maybe a bit cheaper? I would like to find a chain that has a rewards program, too, similar to Marriott Rewards.
Any suggestions?
honestly after a long day of working hard, you need a really nice and clean bed to sleep in and destress. remember you get what you pay for. why not try the hilton or wyndam they are not so bad.

Hey hi Ashish..
Welcome to B’lore.. The distance frm railway station to palace ground would be nearly 8-10Kms.. The cheap way to reach palace ground is that u can go by BMTC local bus, u can enquire the route in the bus stand info. center.
And for hotels u can refer these links..

I am taking my son to Disney we got a hotel room on international drive. The price seems kinda cheap does anyone know if international drive is a safe/good area?
It is a main tourist area, so you should be fine. If you aren’t driving, I recommend renting a car to get to and from the parks.
