@Kijinn Trust me, this recap doesn’t do the show justice. Characters such as Topher, Adelle and season 2’s Bennett (played by Summer Glau, which is reason enough to love her) are among the best I’ve seen on television.

It’s such a shame that this show was canceled. It was probably the only non-comedy show that’s ever interested me, and it was what I waited to watch every week.

My impression is (based solely on this recap), that the series lacks the type of “hero” characters, that were present in Whedon’s other series.
I had to see 4 episodes of Firefly, before I started liking its chars. So I could be wrong here, too.
But in the recap, I couldn’t find a reason to care for any of the chars..or even the story, by the by. Could that be Dollhouse’s weakness?

It’s liked by a lot of Whedon fans, but very few (myself included) think it’s his best. It has its weak moments, but, in my opinion, it has moments more powerful than anything else Joss has done. I say go for it, there’s nothing as good on TV right now, except for Dexter.

I’m thinking that by the time I get to see it,everything that went into producing it(including the people)has long since been paid for completely. I really don’t believe Hollywood or TV ever loses money on any investment.

No TV. I will get around to downloading it from somewhere one of these days. I found “Dollhouse” late,and only because I wanted to update the crush I’ve had on Dushku since she played Arnold’s daughter way back in the day. She grew up nicely. Amazing how you just throw a little water on it,let some time pass,then..BAM!–a woman where a kid once stood. Now I’m a great admirer of Olivia Williams. I’m very impressed with how MUCH acting she manages using just her eyes. Plus,she’s very smart.

I may be the only person on earth who never has watched an episode of “Buffy…” I hadn’t realized Whedon’s connection to that show before I fell in love with Dollhouse. Whether Dollhouse survives or not,Whedon will be back with something soon. It must be an incredible bitch,though,to have to abandon(yet again)everything it takes to build a great show. I especially love how generous he’s been to ALL of the actors as the deadline for the show’s premature ending bore down on him,the writer.
